To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'Choke', and the safety handle is engaged. Pull the start cord firmly until the engine starts. Once the engine runs, move the throttle to the 'Run' position.
Regular maintenance should include checking the oil level before each use, changing the oil after every 50 hours of operation, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpening the blades as needed. Refer to the user manual for a detailed schedule.
Ensure there is sufficient fuel in the tank and that the fuel valve is open. Check that the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Verify that the safety handle is engaged. If it still doesn't start, consult a professional technician.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and sharpen or replace them if necessary. Ensure the cutting deck is clean and not clogged with grass. Adjust the cutting height to suit the grass length and type.
Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
It's not recommended to mow wet grass as it can clog the mower deck and lead to uneven cutting. Wait until the grass is dry to achieve the best results and to protect your mower.
After use, allow the mower to cool down. Use a brush or compressed air to remove grass clippings from the deck and blades. Avoid using water directly on the engine or electrical components.
Check for any debris or obstruction in the blades or deck. Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance and replace if necessary. Ensure all nuts and bolts are properly tightened.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation. Clean the mower thoroughly and check for any maintenance needs. Store it in a dry, sheltered location, preferably covered.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Always check the oil level with the dipstick before starting the engine.
