To start the mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil is at the correct level. Pull the blade control bar to the handle and hold it. Then, pull the starter handle lightly until you feel resistance, and then pull it with a quick, firm motion.
Check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Inspect the spark plug for damage and replace if necessary. Make sure the air filter is clean and not clogged. Additionally, check the oil level and fill if needed.
It's recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season.
Remove the blade and secure it in a vice. Use a file or a grinding wheel to sharpen the blade, following the original angle. Ensure the blade is balanced before reinstalling it.
Ensure the blade is sharp and balanced. Mow when the grass is dry, and adjust the cutting height according to the grass condition. Regularly clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass build-up.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the spark plug to add a few drops of oil into the cylinder. Replace the spark plug, lubricate all moving parts, and store the mower in a dry, covered area.
Remove the air filter cover by unscrewing the fasteners. Take out the old filter and replace it with a new one. Secure the cover back in place. Ensure the air filter is replaced at least once per season or more often if operating in dusty conditions.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the drive cable is properly adjusted and not broken. Lubricate the drive system components as per the manual instructions.
After each use, disconnect the spark plug wire for safety, tilt the mower, and use a hose to remove grass clippings from the deck. Avoid using high-pressure water, which can damage components.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
