To start the Toro ProLine Recycler 21-inch 22162 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, engage the safety lever, and pull the starter rope firmly.
Perform regular maintenance every 25 hours of use, including checking the oil level, air filter, and blade condition. Annual maintenance should include changing the oil, replacing the air filter, and sharpening the blade.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the air filter for clogs, and verify the safety lever is engaged. If problems persist, consider replacing the spark plug.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87 and avoid ethanol blends over 10%.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the height adjustment lever located on each wheel to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
If the blade is not cutting properly, check for dullness or damage. Sharpen or replace the blade as needed and ensure it is securely attached.
To clean the mower deck, disconnect the spark plug, then tilt the mower and use a hose to wash off grass clippings and debris. Allow it to dry thoroughly before storing.
Before storing for winter, drain the fuel tank, clean the mower, and perform necessary maintenance such as oil change and air filter replacement. Store in a dry, sheltered location.
Ensure the blade is sharp and the under-deck is clean. Mow only a third of the grass height at a time, and mow when the grass is dry for optimal mulching.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged blade or loose parts. Inspect the blade for damage and ensure all bolts and nuts are tightened securely.
