To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is set to choke. Turn the ignition key to start the engine. Once started, adjust the throttle as needed.
Check the fuel level, battery charge, and ensure all safety switches are engaged. Verify the spark plug connection and inspect for any blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers.
Regularly inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace blades as needed. Ensure blades are balanced to prevent uneven cutting and vibration.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours thereafter, or more frequently if operating in harsh conditions.
Check the tire pressure for consistency, inspect the blades for sharpness, and ensure the deck is level. Adjust the deck height if necessary.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris using a brush or air blower. For thorough cleaning, use water and mild detergent, ensuring the mower is turned off and cool.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, drain the fuel or add a stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and store in a dry, protected area.
Maintain the engine regularly, keep the blades sharp, mow at the correct speed, and avoid mowing wet grass to improve efficiency and fuel consumption.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, check for loose bolts or components, and ensure the engine is mounted securely.
Use the deck lift lever to adjust the cutting height. Refer to the manual for the correct settings to maintain desired grass length and ensure an even cut.
