To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the transmission is in neutral. Then, turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position. Once the engine starts, release the key.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify the battery charge. Also, inspect the air filter for clogs and ensure the PTO switch is off.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 25 hours of operation, including checking oil levels, cleaning the air filter, and inspecting the blades. A more thorough check should be done every 100 hours.
To change the oil, warm up the engine, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug and let the oil drain into a suitable container. Replace the drain plug, add new oil through the fill tube, and check the level with the dipstick.
It is recommended to use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil, depending on the operating temperature. Refer to the owner’s manual for specific temperature guidelines.
To adjust the cutting height, move the height adjustment levers located on each wheel to the desired position. Ensure all four levers are set to the same height for an even cut.
Check the PTO switch to ensure it is in the 'On' position. Inspect the belt for wear or damage and verify that it is properly installed. Also, ensure the battery is fully charged.
To clean the mower deck, ensure the engine is off and the spark plug is disconnected. Use a garden hose to spray away grass clippings and debris. For stubborn buildup, gently scrape with a plastic scraper.
The recommended tire pressure is typically 15 psi for the front tires and 12 psi for the rear tires. Check the sidewall of the tires or the owner’s manual for exact specifications.
Check that all wheels are set to the same height and ensure the blades are sharp and balanced. Inspect the deck for level alignment and check for any obstructions or damage to the blades.
