To start the mower, ensure that the parking brake is engaged and the PTO lever is disengaged. Set the throttle to the 'Fast' position and turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position until the engine starts.
Regular maintenance includes checking the engine oil level before each use, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and changing the oil every 50 hours. Sharpen or replace the blades as needed.
First, check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh. Verify that the spark plug is connected and clean. Inspect the air filter for clogs, and make sure the battery is charged.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers at each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting deck.
Excessive vibration may indicate unbalanced blades or debris lodged in the deck. Inspect and clean the deck, and check if the blades need balancing or replacement.
Maintain sharp blades, clean the air filter regularly, and ensure proper tire inflation. Operating at the recommended engine speed can also enhance fuel efficiency.
Always wear protective gear, avoid mowing on wet grass, and keep bystanders away. Make sure the area is clear of debris, and never bypass safety switches.
To replace the blades, disconnect the spark plug, tip the mower onto its side, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace with a new blade, ensuring it is installed correctly.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and sharpen or replace them as necessary. Ensure the deck is clean and free from grass buildup, and adjust the cutting height if needed.
