Disconnect the spark plug wire. Remove the belt cover and detach the old belt from the pulleys. Install the new belt, ensuring it is seated properly on the pulleys, then reattach the cover.
Check for debris lodged in the blade or deck. Inspect the blade for damage or imbalance and replace if necessary. Ensure all bolts and connections are secure.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Clean it with soap and water, then let it dry completely before reinstalling. Replace it if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove fuel or add a stabilizer to the tank. Store in a dry place and disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
