To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the choke lever to the 'ON' position, and pull the starter cord briskly. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'OFF' position.
Check if there is sufficient fuel in the tank, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify that the fuel valve is open. Additionally, make sure the air filter is clean and not clogged.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or once per mowing season, whichever comes first.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Always check the oil level before each use.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to raise or lower the deck to the desired cutting height.
Inspect the blades regularly for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace the blades if they are dull or show signs of wear. Always disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance on the blades.
Clean the mower by removing any grass clippings from the deck and wheels. Use a garden hose to rinse off dirt and debris, and dry the mower thoroughly to prevent rust.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a damaged or unbalanced blade. Inspect the blade for damage and ensure it is properly balanced and securely attached.
Before storage, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove any fuel from the tank. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered area and cover it to protect it from dust and moisture.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves and safety glasses. Keep hands and feet away from the blades, and do not operate the mower on steep slopes. Ensure bystanders are at a safe distance before starting the mower.
