To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, engage the choke, and pull the starter rope firmly. Once the engine starts, gradually push the choke back in.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level before each use, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpening the blades every 50 hours of operation.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for clogs. If the issue persists, check the ignition system for faults.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel and move them to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Excessive vibration may be due to unbalanced blades or debris lodged in the mower deck. Inspect and clean the deck, and check if the blades need balancing.
After each use, safely tip the mower on its side and use a hose to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck. Ensure the spark plug is disconnected before cleaning.
Ensure the wheels are set to the same height and inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Replace or sharpen blades as necessary.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, use a wrench to remove the old plug, and install a new plug with the correct gap setting. Reattach the wire securely.
Always wear protective eyewear and sturdy footwear. Keep hands and feet away from the blades, and never mow on wet grass or slopes to avoid slipping.
