To perform routine maintenance, regularly check and change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, sharpen the blades, and inspect the belts for wear and tear. Refer to the user manual for specific maintenance intervals and procedures.
First, check the fuel level and ensure it is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Also, check the air filter for clogs and clean or replace it. Ensure the battery is charged and connections are secure.
Uneven cutting can be caused by dull blades, uneven tire pressure, or improper deck leveling. Sharpen the blades, check tire pressure, and adjust the deck height for even cutting.
For optimal performance, use SAE 30 oil in temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for colder conditions. Always ensure the oil meets API service classifications of SF, SG, SH, SJ, or higher.
To replace the drive belt, first disconnect the spark plug and remove the deck. Follow the belt routing diagram in the manual to install the new belt. Ensure the belt is seated properly on all pulleys before reassembling.
Check for clogged air filters or fuel lines. Inspect the spark plug for fouling and ensure the carburetor is clean. Make sure the fuel is fresh and the fuel cap vent is not blocked.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove fuel from the tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location and disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
To clean the undercarriage, ensure the mower is off and cool. Use a garden hose to rinse the underside, then scrape off any grass buildup with a plastic scraper. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose hardware, or worn bearings. Check and balance the blades, tighten all nuts and bolts, and inspect the bearings for wear.
