To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to set the desired cutting height, ensuring all wheels are set to the same level for an even cut.
First, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify that the spark plug is connected and in good condition. If the problem persists, inspect the air filter for blockages and ensure the battery is charged if applicable.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season. Always refer to the user manual for specific instructions.
End-of-season maintenance includes cleaning the mower deck, changing the oil, inspecting and replacing the air filter if necessary, sharpening the blades, and checking the belts for wear. Store the mower in a dry place.
To sharpen the blades, first disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. Remove the blade from the mower, then use a grinder or file to sharpen the cutting edge evenly. Ensure the blade is balanced before reinstallation.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol. Always store fuel properly and stabilize it if it will be stored for more than 30 days.
Ensure the grass bag is not overfilled and that the mower deck and chute are free of debris. Sharpen the blades regularly and mow when the grass is dry for optimal bagging performance.
Check for debris lodged in the mower deck or blade area. Inspect the blade for damage or imbalance, and ensure that all fasteners are tightened securely. Replace any worn or damaged parts as needed.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire. Remove the mower deck and locate the belt by referring to the user manual. Release the belt tension, remove the old belt, and install the new belt following the correct routing pattern. Reassemble the mower deck.
The recommended tire pressure is usually around 15 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires. Always check the tire sidewall or the operator’s manual for specific recommendations.
