To start the Toro ProLine 30718 Tractor, ensure the parking brake is set and the PTO switch is off. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'start' position while pressing the brake pedal. Release the key once the engine starts.
Check if the fuel tank has sufficient fuel and the fuel valve is open. Ensure the battery is charged and the spark plug is in good condition. Verify that the PTO switch is off and the parking brake is engaged.
The oil should be changed after the first 8 hours of use and then every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. Use the recommended oil type for optimal performance.
Use SAE 10W-30 oil for the Toro ProLine 30718 Tractor. Ensure the oil is suitable for the temperature range you operate in. Refer to the operator's manual for more details.
Check the tire pressure to ensure it is even on all tires. Inspect the mower deck for levelness and adjust if necessary. Also, ensure the blades are sharp and not damaged.
Inspect the air filter every 25 hours of use or more frequently in dusty conditions. Clean it by tapping it gently to remove debris, and replace it if it's damaged or excessively dirty.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the tractor. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, ensuring both sides are set to the same level for an even cut.
Check for loose or imbalanced blades and tighten or replace them as needed. Inspect the engine mounting bolts and tighten if necessary. Also, ensure that no debris is stuck in the mower deck.
After each use, clear grass clippings and debris from the mower deck and engine area. Use a low-pressure water hose to wash the exterior, avoiding electrical components. Dry thoroughly to prevent rusting.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and perform any needed maintenance. Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store in a dry, sheltered location and disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
