Ensure the fuel valve is open and the throttle is set to choke. Pull the starter rope firmly until the engine fires. Move the throttle to the fast position once the engine starts.
Check the mower deck for any obstructions and ensure the blades are sharp and balanced. Adjust the cutting height and make sure the tire pressure is equal on all sides.
It's recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season for optimum performance.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87 and avoid using ethanol blends greater than E10 to prevent engine damage.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for fouling and ensure the air filter is clean. Consider replacing old fuel with fresh gasoline.
Regularly inspect the blades for damage and sharpen them every 25 hours of use. Ensure they are balanced to prevent vibration and uneven cuts.
Check for debris under the deck and inspect the blades for damage or imbalance. Ensure that all bolts and screws are tightened properly.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Clean it with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Maintain the tire pressure at 15 psi for optimal performance and to ensure an even cut.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Clean the mower thoroughly and store it in a dry, covered area. Disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
