Check the traction drive belt and adjust or replace it if necessary. Also, ensure the drive control cable is properly connected and adjusted. Consult the user manual for specific instructions on adjustments.
Routinely inspect the auger and impeller for any damage or wear. Lubricate the auger bearings and replace any damaged shear pins. Keeping the auger clean and debris-free will ensure optimal performance.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent damage to the engine components.
This could be due to a clogged fuel filter, dirty carburetor, or old spark plug. Clean or replace these components as needed. Additionally, check for any blockages in the air filter.
Run the engine for a few minutes to warm the oil, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to drain completely. Replace the plug and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity as specified in the manual.
Inspect the rotor blades and impeller for damage or imbalance. Check if the mounting bolts are loose and tighten them as necessary. Damaged parts should be replaced to prevent further issues.
Drain the fuel tank to prevent gum deposits from forming in the fuel system. Clean the snow thrower and apply a light coat of oil to prevent rust. Store in a dry location and cover with a protective sheet.
Check for any obstructions in the chute or auger housing. Ensure the auger drive belt is properly tensioned and in good condition. Clear any blockages and replace worn belts.
Difficulty in steering can be caused by uneven tire pressure or worn-out tires. Check and adjust the tire pressure to the manufacturer's specifications. Replace tires if they are worn or damaged.
