To start the Toro Power Max 928OXE 38822, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the choke to full, and ensure the ignition key is inserted. Then, pull the starter handle or use the electric start button.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 2 hours of use, and then annually or after every 25 operating hours, whichever comes first.
Check if the chute, auger, or impeller is clogged with snow or debris. Also, ensure the auger drive belt is properly tensioned and not worn out.
To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the nuts securing them, adjust the shoes to the desired height to clear the surface, and then retighten the nuts.
Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, lubricate moving parts, and inspect for any damage to ensure the snow thrower is ready for next season.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a socket wrench, and install a new spark plug with the correct gap setting, then reconnect the wire.
Ensure the power cord is properly connected and the outlet is functioning. Check the starter button and inspect the electrical connections for any damage.
Consider installing tire chains or using snow tires designed for better grip on icy surfaces.
Inspect the auger and impeller for damage or imbalance, check for loose bolts or fasteners, and ensure the engine is mounted securely.
