Toro Power Max 926OXE 38664 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro Power Max 926OXE, ensure the fuel shutoff valve is open. Set the choke to the 'On' position, engage the throttle, and pull the recoil starter or use the electric starter if equipped. Once started, adjust the choke to the 'Run' position.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify that the spark plug is connected and not fouled. Make sure the choke is set correctly and that the throttle is engaged. If problems persist, inspect the fuel line for blockages.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level, inspecting the spark plug, lubricating the auger and chute control, and cleaning the machine after each use. Replace the oil and spark plug annually or as needed.
To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the nuts on the skid shoes, raise or lower them to the desired height, and then tighten the nuts securely. Ensure both skid shoes are adjusted to the same height for even clearing.
Check the auger drive belt for proper tension and wear. Inspect the auger control cable for proper adjustment and damage. If the belt or cable is worn or damaged, replace them according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Clean the exterior and remove any debris. Lubricate moving parts and store the snow thrower in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starts.
Use SAE 5W-30 oil for best performance in cold weather conditions. Check the oil level before each use and change the oil after the first 2 hours of operation, then annually or every 25 hours of operation.
Turn off the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop. Use a chute clean-out tool or a sturdy stick to remove the clog. Never use your hands to clear the chute. Ensure the area is clear before restarting the engine.
Ensure the throttle is set to full speed, and the chute and deflector are clear of obstructions. Check the auger and impeller for wear or damage. Adjust the chute deflector angle for optimal throwing distance.
