To start the Toro Power Max 826 OAE, first ensure the fuel valve is open, throttle is set to FAST, and the choke is engaged. Pull the recoil starter or use the electric start feature if available. Once started, gradually move the choke to RUN.
The Toro Power Max 826 OAE should be fueled with fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87 and no more than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then once each season or every 25 operating hours, whichever comes first.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is connected and in good condition, and verify that the choke and throttle settings are correct. If the problem persists, consult the manual or a service technician.
To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the mounting bolts, set the desired height, and retighten the bolts. Ensure both shoes are adjusted equally to maintain balance.
Ensure the auger and impeller are not clogged. Check if the drive belt is worn or damaged and that the skid shoes and scraper blade are correctly adjusted.
Drain the fuel system or add fuel stabilizer, change the oil, clean the machine, and store it in a dry, sheltered location. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
Check and replace the spark plug if necessary, change the oil, inspect belts and cables for wear, and ensure moving parts are lubricated. Also, check the tire pressure and adjust the skid shoes and scraper blade.
First, remove the belt cover and then detach the old belt from the engine and auger pulleys. Install the new belt following the routing diagram in the manual and replace the cover.
Check if the auger drive belt is broken or slipped off. Inspect the auger shear pins and replace them if they are broken. Ensure the auger control cable is properly adjusted.
