To start the Toro Power Max 726OE, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the choke to the "Full" position, and turn the ignition key to the "Start" position. Once the engine starts, gradually adjust the choke to the "Run" position.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. It's recommended to use gasoline with no more than 10% ethanol content to ensure optimal performance.
Change the oil after the first 2 hours of operation and then once every 25 hours of use or at the start of each snow season. Use SAE 5W-30 oil for best results.
Check if the fuel tank is filled, the ignition key is in the "On" position, and the choke is correctly set. Inspect the spark plug for damage or wear and replace if necessary. Ensure the fuel is fresh.
To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the nuts and bolts on each skid shoe, set the desired height, and then retighten the nuts and bolts to secure them in position. Adjust both sides equally for even clearance.
Regularly inspect the auger for any damage or obstructions. Lubricate the auger shaft at the beginning of each season and after every 25 hours of operation with a suitable grease. Replace damaged or worn parts as needed.
Drain the fuel, change the oil, clean the exterior, and store the snow thrower in a dry, protected area. Consider using a fuel stabilizer if you plan to keep fuel in the tank. Remove and clean the spark plug.
To replace the drive belt, remove the belt cover, take off the old belt, and install a new belt by following the path shown in the user manual. Ensure the belt is correctly aligned on the pulleys before reattaching the cover.
Check for any clogs in the discharge chute and clear them. Ensure the auger and impeller are not worn or damaged. Adjust the throttle to ensure the engine is running at full speed.
Use a tire pressure gauge to check the tire pressure. Adjust to the recommended PSI as specified in the user manual by adding or releasing air as needed. Proper tire pressure ensures better traction and performance.
