To start the Toro Power Max 726OE, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the choke to 'Full', and the throttle to 'Fast'. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb twice, then pull the starter handle or use the electric start button if available.
Regularly check the auger for any debris or damage. Lubricate the auger shaft with a recommended lubricant and inspect the shear pins, replacing them if they are worn or broken.
Use fresh, clean unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10% as it can damage the engine components.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Ensure the choke and throttle are set correctly, and check for any blockages in the fuel line.
Use SAE 5W-30 or 10W-30 oil for the engine. Change the oil after the first 2 hours of operation and then seasonally or every 25 hours of use.
To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the mounting nuts and slide the skid shoes to the desired height. Retighten the nuts ensuring both sides are even to prevent uneven wear on the scraper blade.
Check for any obstructions in the auger or impeller. Inspect the auger and impeller for damage or wear. Ensure all bolts and fasteners are tight and secure.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Clean the snow thrower thoroughly, lubricate moving parts, and store it in a dry, covered area. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starts.
Ensure the chute and deflector are clean and free from debris. Operate at full throttle for maximum performance and adjust the deflector angle to optimize throwing distance.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire. Remove the belt cover and slip the old belt off the engine pulley. Install the new belt over the engine pulley and auger pulley, ensuring it is properly seated. Reattach the belt cover and reconnect the spark plug wire.
