To start the Toro Power Max 724OE 38811, ensure the fuel shut-off valve is open, the choke is set to 'ON', and the throttle is in the 'FAST' position. Then, pull the starter rope or use the electric start if equipped.
Check for any clogs in the discharge chute or auger housing, ensure the auger is engaged, and inspect the auger blades for damage or wear. Adjust the skid shoes and scraper bar if necessary.
Regularly check the auger and impeller for damage or excessive wear. Lubricate them as recommended in the user manual. Tighten any loose bolts and replace worn parts promptly.
Use a high-quality, 4-cycle engine oil with a viscosity appropriate for the temperature range expected. The engine oil capacity is approximately 20 ounces. Refer to the manual for specific oil recommendations.
Empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Clean the snow thrower thoroughly, lubricate moving parts, and store it in a dry, covered location. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
Ensure there is fresh fuel in the tank and that the fuel shut-off valve is open. Check the spark plug for fouling or wear, and replace if necessary. Verify that the choke and throttle are in the correct positions.
Position the snow thrower on a flat surface. Adjust the skid shoes so that the scraper bar is approximately 1/8 inch above the ground. Tighten the bolts securely after adjustment.
Refer to the user manual for specific instructions. Generally, you will need to remove the belt cover, release the tension on the belt, and remove the worn belt. Install the new belt and re-tension it according to the manual.
Inspect the spark plug every season or every 25 hours of operation. Replace it if it shows signs of wear or damage, or at least once every season to ensure optimal performance.
Always wear appropriate clothing and eye protection. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts. Do not operate the snow thrower on steep slopes and ensure bystanders are at a safe distance.
