To start the Toro Power Max 724OE, ensure the fuel valve is open, the key is in the ignition, and the throttle is set to 'FAST'. Engage the choke and pull the starter handle or use the electric start button if equipped.
Use fresh, clean, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10%.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then annually or every 50 hours, whichever comes first.
Check the auger and impeller for clogs or damage. Ensure the chute is not blocked and the speed of operation is adequate for the snow conditions.
To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the nuts on both sides, set the skid shoes to the desired height, and retighten the nuts. Ensure both sides are evenly adjusted.
Drain the fuel, change the oil, inspect and clean the unit, and store it in a dry place. Consider using a fuel stabilizer if storing with fuel.
Avoid overloading the machine, use the slowest ground speed, and apply a non-stick spray to the chute and auger housing.
Ensure the fuel valve is open, the key is in the ignition, the throttle is set correctly, and the choke is engaged. Check the spark plug for fouling.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a spark plug wrench, and install a new, properly gapped spark plug. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Check for loose or damaged parts, particularly the auger and impeller. Tighten any loose hardware and replace any damaged components.
