To start the Toro Power Max 1128OXE, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the throttle to the 'Fast' position, press the primer bulb a few times, and pull the starter handle or use the electric start if equipped.
Check the auger and impeller for obstructions. Ensure that the throttle is set to the maximum speed. Verify that the chute is not clogged and the belt is not worn out.
Change the engine oil after the first 2 hours of operation, then after every 25 hours of use, or at least once per season.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using fuels with more than 10% ethanol.
Loosen the skid shoe bolts, adjust the height to your preference ensuring even ground clearance, then retighten the bolts securely.
Inspect for loose parts or fasteners, check the auger and impeller for damage or debris, and ensure the engine is properly mounted.
Regularly inspect and clean the auger and impeller, lubricate as recommended, and replace any worn or damaged parts.
Ensure the snow is dry and not too wet, operate the snow thrower at full throttle, and occasionally clear the chute manually if needed.
Drain the fuel system, change the oil, clean the machine thoroughly, and store it in a dry, covered location. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
Remove the belt cover, release tension from the belt tensioner, remove the old belt, install the new belt following the correct path, and re-tension the belt.
