To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the mounting nuts and set the skid shoes to the desired height based on the surface type. Tighten the nuts securely after adjustment.
The recommended maintenance schedule includes checking engine oil before each use, replacing the spark plug annually, and inspecting belts, cables, and fasteners regularly. Refer to the owner’s manual for detailed intervals.
To change the engine oil, run the engine briefly to warm the oil, remove the oil drain plug, and allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Check for blockages in the discharge chute and auger housing, inspect the auger and impeller for damage, and ensure the throttle is set to FAST. Adjust the skid shoes if needed for optimal performance.
Clean the snow thrower thoroughly, drain the fuel system or add a stabilizer, store in a dry location, and cover to protect from dust and debris. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
To replace the drive belt, remove the belt cover, release belt tension, and remove the old belt. Install the new belt according to the routing diagram provided in the manual and reassemble the components.
