To start the Toro Power Curve 1200, ensure it is plugged into a power source, then press and hold the start button. Release the button once the motor is running smoothly.
Check that the unit is plugged in and that the outlet is functioning. Ensure the extension cord is suitable for outdoor use and has the correct amperage. Press the restart button and try starting again.
Regularly check and tighten any loose bolts. Clean the auger and impeller after each use to prevent clogging. Lubricate moving parts with a light oil to prevent rust.
Use a heavy-duty, outdoor-rated extension cord. Ensure it is capable of handling at least 10 amps to prevent overheating and potential damage to the motor.
Turn off and unplug the snow thrower before attempting to clear any clogs. Use a stick or similar tool to remove the blockage from the chute, never use your hands.
Clean the snow thrower thoroughly, ensure all parts are dry, and store it in a dry, protected area. Coil the power cord neatly and avoid placing heavy objects on the machine.
Use the chute handle located near the operator position to rotate the chute left or right, aiming the discharge of snow in the desired direction.
Check for any debris or ice build-up on the auger and impeller. Inspect all bolts and screws for tightness. If vibration persists, contact a service professional for further inspection.
While the Toro Power Curve 1200 can handle light to moderate snowfall, it may struggle with wet, heavy snow. Operate at a slower pace and take smaller passes to avoid clogging.
Wear appropriate winter clothing and safety goggles. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts, and never attempt to clear clogs with the machine running. Always unplug before maintenance.
