To start the Toro Power Clear 826OXE, ensure the fuel shutoff valve is open, the choke is set to 'full', and the throttle is in the 'fast' position. Pull the recoil starter or use the electric start if equipped.
Before storing, drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, clean the machine thoroughly, and inspect for any worn parts that may need replacement.
Check the fuel level and quality, inspect the spark plug for wear, ensure the choke and throttle are set correctly, and verify that the fuel shutoff valve is open.
Use a high-quality SAE 5W-30 oil for best performance in cold weather conditions.
Loosen the skid shoe bolts, adjust the skid shoes to the desired height, and retighten the bolts securely. Ensure both sides are even to prevent uneven wear.
Check for obstructions in the discharge chute, inspect the auger and impeller for wear or damage, and ensure the throttle is set to the 'fast' position.
Remove the belt cover, release the tension on the belt, remove the old belt, and install a new one by reversing the removal process. Ensure proper tension after installation.
Check the auger drive cable for proper tension, inspect the belt for wear or damage, and ensure the control lever is fully engaged.
Stop the engine, wait for all moving parts to stop, and use a clean-out tool or stick to remove the obstruction. Never use your hands to clear the chute.
After use, brush off loose snow, run the machine for a few minutes to prevent freezing, and wipe down with a dry cloth. Avoid using water to prevent rust and electrical issues.
