Toro LX423 13AX90RS848 Operator's Manual

To change the oil, first warm up the engine. Then, turn it off and disconnect the spark plug. Place an oil pan under the engine, remove the oil drain plug, and let the oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug, add new oil through the oil fill cap, and check the level with the dipstick.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is typically 14 psi and for the rear tires, it's 10 psi. Always check the tire sidewall or the owner's manual for the exact specifications.
Common reasons include a dead battery, faulty spark plug, or clogged fuel line. Ensure the battery is charged, the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, and the fuel line is unobstructed.
First, disconnect the spark plug and raise the mower deck. Use a block of wood to prevent the blade from turning, then remove the blade bolt. Replace the blade, ensuring it is installed correctly, and tighten the bolt securely.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, inspecting the air filter, checking tire pressure, sharpening or replacing mower blades, and cleaning the deck to prevent grass buildup.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired position, making sure both sides are set equally for an even cut.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10% as they can damage the engine.
Check if the mower deck is level, ensure the blades are sharp and properly installed, and verify that the tire pressure is even. Adjust as necessary to achieve a uniform cut.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and inspect it. If it's paper, gently tap it to remove debris. If it's foam, wash it with mild detergent and water, dry it, and apply a few drops of clean engine oil before reinstalling.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, worn bearings, or debris on the mower deck. Check the blades for damage, balance them if needed, inspect the bearings, and clean the deck.
