Toro HoverPro 450 02612 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro HoverPro 450, ensure that the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Then, press the primer bulb a few times, pull the starter cord firmly, and ensure the engine starts smoothly.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify that the air filter is not clogged. Also, make sure the primer bulb is functioning correctly.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Use SAE 30 oil for general conditions. For temperatures below 40°F, you can use SAE 10W-30. Make sure to check the oil level regularly.
To replace the cutting blades, disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower securely, and use a suitable wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace the old blade with a new one, ensuring it is tightly secured.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting and sharpening the blades, and checking the spark plug condition.
Clean the mower thoroughly, remove any debris, change the oil, and empty the fuel tank. Store it in a dry place, and cover it to protect it from dust and moisture. Remove the spark plug for added safety.
Excessive vibration might be due to an unbalanced or damaged blade. Check the blade for damage or debris accumulation, and balance or replace it as necessary.
Ensure the blades are sharp and in good condition. Mow regularly to avoid overgrown grass, and adjust the cutting height to suit the grass type and current conditions.
To reduce fuel consumption, maintain a clean air filter, ensure the blades are sharp, and avoid mowing wet or overly long grass, which can cause the engine to work harder.
