To start the mower, ensure the PTO is disengaged, set the parking brake, turn the key to the 'On' position, and then turn it to 'Start' position until the engine runs. Release the key immediately after the engine starts.
Check the battery charge, ensure the PTO is disengaged, verify the parking brake is set, and check the fuel level. Inspect the spark plug and air filter for cleanliness.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. This includes checking oil levels, air filter, spark plugs, and blades.
Run the engine for a few minutes to warm up the oil, then turn off the engine. Remove the oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug, add new oil and check the oil level with the dipstick.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Check if the mower deck is level. Ensure the blades are sharp and properly installed. Inspect tires for even pressure and replace if necessary.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Use a garden hose to remove debris from the top and underside of the deck. Avoid using high-pressure sprayers directly on bearings or electrical components.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the battery. Add fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank and run the engine for a few minutes. Store the mower in a dry, covered area.
Locate the height adjustment lever near each wheel. Move the lever to the desired height setting, ensuring all levers are set equally for an even cut.
Check for debris or damage on the blades. Ensure that the blades are balanced and securely fastened. Inspect the engine mounting bolts and tighten if necessary.
