To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and remove the oil drain plug to allow the old oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Check the battery to ensure it is charged and the connections are clean. Verify that the fuel tank has fresh gasoline. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the choke is in the correct position for starting.
Regularly clean the cutting deck to prevent grass buildup. Sharpen the blades at least once a season, or more frequently if needed. Check the belt for wear and replace it if it shows signs of damage.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gas that contains more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the lever on the right side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting deck. Ensure both sides are set to the same height for an even cut.
Before storing, clean the tractor thoroughly and remove any debris. Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Check if the blades are sharp and balanced. Make sure the tire pressure is equal on all wheels. Verify that the deck is level from side to side and adjust if necessary.
Replace the air filter at least once per season or every 25 hours of operation. Check the air filter more frequently if you operate the tractor in dusty conditions.
Excessive vibrations could be caused by unbalanced blades or debris in the cutting deck. Check for and remove any debris. Ensure the blades are balanced and securely attached.
Locate the transmission fluid reservoir, usually found near the rear axle. Remove the dipstick and check the fluid level. If necessary, add the recommended transmission fluid type until it reaches the proper level.
