To start the mower, ensure the battery is charged, sit on the operator's seat, engage the parking brake, move the throttle to the 'fast' position, and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check if the PTO switch is engaged. Ensure that the battery is properly charged and inspect the blade belt for any damage or misalignment.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Use the cutting height adjustment lever located on the side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired height position, ranging from 1.5 to 5 inches.
Ensure that the battery is charged, the parking brake is engaged, and the PTO switch is off. Check the fuel level and inspect the spark plug for fouling.
Keep the battery terminals clean and tight. Charge the battery regularly during the off-season and store it in a cool, dry place.
Check for debris stuck in the mower deck, inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, and ensure all bolts and connections are tight.
Use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris. Ensure the engine is off and cool before cleaning. Avoid using high-pressure water as it may damage components.
Adjust the tire pressure according to the operator's manual and ensure the mower deck is leveled properly. Consider using high-lift blades for better cutting on uneven terrain.
