To start the mower, ensure that the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'fast', and the blade control lever is engaged. Then, pull the starter rope firmly.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Always check the oil level before use.
Sharpen the blade every 20-25 hours of use or at least once a mowing season to ensure optimal cutting performance.
Check if there is fuel in the tank and the spark plug is functioning. Ensure the air filter is clean and the carburetor is not clogged.
Regular maintenance includes checking oil levels, cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, and ensuring the blade is sharp and balanced.
It is not recommended to mow wet grass as it can clog the mower and lead to uneven cutting and potential damage.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the lever located on each wheel. Ensure all wheels are set at the same height for an even cut.
Excessive vibration could be due to a loose blade, unbalanced blade, or debris accumulation. Check and tighten the blade, or clean the underside of the mower.
After use, turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris from the deck and wheels.
Drain the fuel, clean the mower thoroughly, remove the battery if applicable, and store it in a dry place to prevent rust and corrosion.
