To start the Toro G132 70185 Mower, ensure that the fuel valve is open, the throttle is in the 'fast' position, and the blade control is disengaged. Pull the starter handle until the engine starts.
Use SAE 30 oil for general use. In temperatures below 40°F, use SAE 10W-30 for better performance. Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
Ensure the blade is sharp and properly balanced. Check the tire pressure for uniformity and adjust the mowing height settings to ensure they are consistent across the deck.
Confirm that there is enough fuel in the tank and the fuel valve is open. Check the spark plug for wear or damage, and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and not clogged.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Use a hose to spray underneath the deck, removing grass clippings and debris. For stubborn buildup, use a scraper or brush.
Replace the mower blade if it shows signs of significant wear, is bent, or has hard-to-sharpen nicks. Typically, blades should be inspected after every 25 hours of use.
The air filter should be checked every 25 hours of operation and replaced or cleaned if dirty. In dusty conditions, more frequent maintenance may be required.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose bolts, or worn engine mounts. Inspect these components and tighten or replace them as needed.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to raise or lower the mower deck.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level before each use, cleaning the mower deck after each use, sharpening the blades every 25 hours, and performing an overall inspection every 50 hours of operation.
