To start the mower, ensure it is on a flat surface, press the primer bulb three times, hold the safety bar, and pull the starter cord firmly.
Check for sufficient fuel, a clean air filter, and a properly connected spark plug. Ensure the fuel valve is open and try starting again.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 hours or at least once per mowing season.
Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For colder climates, consider using 10W-30 oil.
The cutting height is adjusted by moving the lever located near each wheel. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a damaged blade or loose components. Inspect the blade for damage and ensure all nuts and bolts are securely tightened.
After use, ensure the mower is turned off and cooled down. Use a brush or cloth to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck and blades. Avoid using water directly to prevent moisture from entering the engine.
Regularly check the oil level, clean or replace the air filter, inspect the blade for sharpness, and ensure that all bolts and screws are tight.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, empty the fuel tank, and store it in a dry, protected area. Consider removing the spark plug and adding a few drops of oil to the cylinder to prevent rust.
Ensure that the cutting deck is level, and check the blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or bent blade can lead to uneven cuts.
