To start the mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is correct, and the spark plug is connected. Then, press the primer bulb 3 times, pull the start cord, and hold the handle lever to keep the engine running.
Check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Verify the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Inspect the air filter for clogs and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure the primer bulb is functioning.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours or at the beginning of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Perform a general inspection before each use. Change the oil every 25 hours, clean the air filter every 25 hours, sharpen the blade once a year, and inspect the spark plug annually.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel. Move the lever to your desired height setting, ensuring all wheels are set evenly.
Check for debris stuck to the blade or under the deck. Ensure the blade is balanced and tightly secured. Inspect the wheels and axles for damage.
Ensure the blade is sharp and the deck is clean. Mow at a higher setting, then gradually lower the height. Mow when the grass is dry for better results.
Before storage, clean the mower, change the oil, and remove fuel from the tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store in a dry, covered area to protect from moisture and rust.
Inspect the blade for dullness or damage and sharpen or replace if necessary. Check for grass buildup under the deck and clean it out. Ensure the mower is set to the correct height.
After each use, turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Use a brush or cloth to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck and blade. Avoid using water directly on the engine.
