To start the Toro 910 51235C Trimmer, ensure the choke is in the correct position, press the primer bulb several times, set the throttle to start, and pull the starter cord briskly.
Use a fresh, clean unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher, mixed with a high-quality 2-cycle oil at a ratio of 50:1.
Replace the trimmer line when it becomes too short for effective trimming or shows signs of wear and tear. Regular inspection is recommended.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, wash it with soapy water, rinse thoroughly, let it dry completely, and then reinstall it.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, verify the air filter is clear, and confirm the choke and throttle positions are correct.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, replacing the trimmer line, and cleaning the exterior of the trimmer.
Locate the idle speed screw on the carburetor and turn it clockwise to increase idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease it. Adjust until the engine runs smoothly at idle.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced trimmer line, loose parts, or a damaged cutting head. Inspect and correct any issues to reduce vibration.
Check the trimmer line for wear or damage, ensure the line is the correct length, and inspect the cutting head for obstructions or damage. Replace parts as necessary.
Drain the fuel tank, clean the trimmer thoroughly, inspect for any needed repairs, and store in a dry, sheltered location away from direct sunlight and moisture.
