To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to set the preferred cutting height. Ensure all levers are set to the same position for an even cut.
First, check that the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch is engaged. If it is, inspect the belt for damage or wear and replace if necessary. Lastly, examine the electrical connections to ensure secure contact and no corrosion.
For optimal performance, use SAE 10W-30 oil with an API service classification of SF, SG, SH, SJ, SL, or higher. Check the engine oil level regularly and change as specified in the maintenance schedule.
Ensure the tires are inflated to the correct pressure and the deck is level. Check for blade sharpness and replace if dull. Also, inspect the mower deck for any obstructions or buildup that might affect cutting performance.
Sharpen the mower blades after every 20-25 hours of use or more frequently if cutting in sandy or rocky conditions. Sharp blades ensure a clean cut and reduce strain on the engine.
To winterize, clean the mower thoroughly and remove any grass clippings. Drain the fuel system or add a fuel stabilizer. Change the oil and air filter, and store the mower in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the battery and charge it periodically during the offseason.
Start by removing the mower deck. Release the tension on the belt tensioner, then remove the old belt from the pulleys. Install the new belt by following the belt routing diagram, ensuring it is seated properly on all pulleys. Reattach the mower deck.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, debris on the blade or under the deck, or loose engine mounting bolts. Check and address these areas to resolve the issue.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening blades, inspecting belts and hoses, checking tire pressure, and lubricating moving parts. Refer to the owner's manual for a detailed maintenance schedule.
Clean the mower and perform necessary maintenance. Store it in a dry, well-ventilated area. Cover it with a tarp to protect from dust and moisture. Ensure it's placed on a flat surface to prevent oil leaks and battery drainage.
