Ensure the mower is on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, set the throttle to 'Fast', turn the key to the 'Start' position, and once the engine starts, release the key.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch to ensure it is engaged, inspect the drive belt for wear or damage, and verify the PTO clutch wiring connections.
It is recommended to change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
Use clean, fresh unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol-blended fuels with more than 10% ethanol.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and sharpen or replace them if necessary. Also, verify that the mower deck is level and the grass is not too wet or tall when cutting.
Regularly sharpen the blades, maintain the correct tire pressure, clean the mower deck to prevent grass build-up, and mow at the recommended height for your lawn type.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer to the tank, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is fully charged, inspect the spark plug for fouling, and make sure all safety switches are engaged.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, replacing the air filter and spark plug, inspecting the mower blades, checking tire pressure, and cleaning the mower deck.
Park the mower on a flat surface, turn off the engine, and adjust the deck height using the adjustment lever or knobs located near the wheels or under the seat to ensure an even cut.
