To start the Toro 50-cm 29645 mower, ensure that the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Set the mower to "Choke" if it's cold and pull the starter handle briskly.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel is fresh. Verify the spark plug condition and connections. Also, ensure the air filter is clean and the oil level is correct.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or at the end of each mowing season.
Ensure the blade is sharp and balanced. Set the cutting height to suit the grass length and mow when the grass is dry. Clean the underside of the deck regularly to prevent grass buildup.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, sharpening the blade, and cleaning the mower deck.
To clean the mower deck, remove the spark plug wire for safety, tilt the mower, and use a brush or hose to remove grass clippings and debris. Avoid using high-pressure water directly on bearings and seals.
Excessive vibration may indicate an unbalanced or damaged blade. Check the blade for damage, ensure it is properly installed, and balance or replace it if necessary.
Before storage, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the mower in a dry, covered area, and disconnect the spark plug wire.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired height setting, ensuring all wheels are set equally.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol, as it can damage the engine.
