To change the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to your desired cutting height setting, ensuring it clicks into place.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected properly, and verify that the battery is charged. Additionally, inspect the air filter for clogs and clean or replace it if necessary.
It is recommended to sharpen the mower blades at least once per mowing season or more frequently if you notice uneven or ragged grass cuts.
Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil that meets API service classification SJ or higher. Always check the owner’s manual for the manufacturer's recommendations.
To improve performance on uneven terrain, adjust the tire pressure according to the manual's specifications and ensure that the cutting deck is level. Consider using a slower mowing speed for better control.
Perform regular maintenance including checking the oil level before each use, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and inspecting the blades and belts periodically. Refer to the owner’s manual for a detailed schedule.
Check the tire pressure to ensure it is even on all sides, inspect the blades for sharpness, and verify that the mower deck is level. Adjust as necessary to achieve even cuts.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced blades, loose hardware, or debris lodged in the mower deck. Inspect and balance the blades, tighten any loose bolts, and clear debris from the deck.
To prolong battery life, store it in a cool, dry place during the off-season, keep the terminals clean, and charge it fully before use. Avoid deep discharges whenever possible.
To winterize the mower, drain the fuel system or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, remove the battery and store it in a cool place, and clean the mower thoroughly. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
