To change the oil, first ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Disconnect the spark plug, remove the oil fill cap, and drain the old oil into a suitable container. Replace with new oil as per the manufacturer’s guidelines, then reinstall the oil fill cap and reconnect the spark plug.
Check if the fuel tank has fresh gasoline and the spark plug is connected properly. Inspect the air filter for clogs and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure the battery is charged and connections are tight.
Blades should be sharpened at least once a mowing season or more frequently if you notice uneven cutting or tearing of grass.
The recommended tire pressure is usually around 12-15 PSI. Refer to the owner’s manual for the exact specification.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever near each wheel. Move the lever to the desired height position on all four wheels to ensure an even cut.
Clean the mower deck to remove grass clippings, empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and check the battery. Store in a dry, covered area to prevent rust and corrosion.
First, disconnect the spark plug. Remove the deck to access the belt, then take off the belt covers and remove the old belt. Install the new belt, ensuring it is seated properly on pulleys, then reassemble the deck.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose components, or debris accumulation. Inspect the blades for damage, ensure all fasteners are tight, and clean any debris from the mower deck.
Ensure the blades are sharp and balanced, mow at the correct height, and maintain a steady pace. Avoid mowing wet grass and overlap your passes slightly for an even cut.
Uncut strips could be due to dull blades, improper cutting height, or a clogged discharge chute. Sharpen the blades, adjust the cutting height, and clear any obstructions in the discharge chute.
