To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to increase or decrease the cutting height. Ensure all levers are set to the same position for an even cut.
If the mower is not starting, check the fuel level and ensure there is fresh fuel. Inspect the spark plug for damage or wear and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and that the battery is charged and connected properly.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours of operation, or at least once per mowing season. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for optimal performance.
Regularly clean the mower deck to prevent grass buildup. Inspect the blades for wear or damage and sharpen or replace them as needed. Check the belt for wear and proper tension.
Ensure that tire pressures are even and at the recommended levels. Adjust the cutting height to avoid scalping. Consider using a slower speed for better control on uneven ground.
To winterize your mower, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove any fuel from the tank. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location and disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
To replace the drive belt, first disconnect the spark plug. Remove the cutting deck and then the belt covers. Carefully remove the old belt and install the new one around the pulleys, following the belt routing diagram in the manual.
Uneven cutting can be caused by dull blades, uneven tire pressure, or improper deck leveling. Sharpen or replace the blades, check tire pressures, and ensure the deck is level by adjusting the deck height levers.
Ensure the cooling fins and air intake are clean and free of debris. Check the oil level and ensure it is at the proper level. Avoid overloading the engine by mowing at an appropriate speed and cutting height.
Regularly check the oil level, air filter, and spark plug. Inspect the blades for sharpness, the belts for wear, and the tires for proper pressure. Clean the mower deck and engine area after each use to prevent buildup.
