To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to raise or lower the mower deck evenly.
Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 40°F (4°C). For colder temperatures, use SAE 10W-30 to ensure proper lubrication.
Replace the air filter every 25 operating hours or at the start of each mowing season, whichever comes first, to ensure efficient engine performance.
Check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh. Verify that the spark plug is connected properly and in good condition. Also, inspect the air filter to ensure it is clean and not clogged.
First, disconnect the spark plug for safety. Remove the blade by loosening the bolt. Use a file or grinder to sharpen the blade, following the original angle. Balance the blade before reattaching it.
Change the oil every 50 operating hours, clean or replace the air filter every 25 hours, and inspect the blade for damage before each use. Regularly check tire pressure and clean the mower deck to prevent grass buildup.
After turning off the mower and disconnecting the spark plug, use a hose to wash away grass clippings from the deck. Avoid spraying water directly on the engine and dry the mower thoroughly before storage.
Ensure that all wheels are set to the same height and check for any obstructions under the deck. Inspect the blade for sharpness and balance, and replace it if necessary.
Clean the mower thoroughly and perform all end-of-season maintenance tasks. Add a fuel stabilizer to the tank and run the engine for a few minutes. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose parts, or debris caught in the mower deck. Inspect and tighten all components, clean the deck, and ensure the blade is balanced and properly installed.
