To start the Toro 39074 Mower, ensure the battery is charged, engage the parking brake, set the throttle to the 'fast' position, and turn the ignition key to the 'start' position.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline, verify the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and make sure the safety interlock system is engaged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or once per mowing season.
Toro recommends using SAE 10W-30 or SAE 30 motor oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C).
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height.
Check that the blades are sharp and balanced, ensure the tire pressures are equal, and verify that the cutting deck is level.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, use a hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris from the deck, and dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
Clean the mower, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the tank, remove the battery, and store in a dry place.
Disconnect the spark plug, turn the mower on its side, use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, replace the blade, and tighten the bolt securely.
Check for debris under the deck, ensure the blade is not damaged and is properly balanced, and inspect the engine mounting bolts for tightness.
