Perform regular maintenance such as checking the oil level before each use, cleaning the deck after each mowing, and changing the oil every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify that the battery is charged. Examine the air filter for clogs and make sure the safety switches are engaged.
It is recommended to use SAE 10W-30 oil for optimal performance in varying temperatures.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height-of-cut lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and sharpen or replace them as necessary. Also, ensure the deck is level and the tire pressure is correct.
Remove the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to take out the old plug, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the new spark plug is properly gapped.
Clean the mower thoroughly, drain the fuel, change the oil, and store the mower in a dry place. Remove the battery and keep it in a cool, dry location.
Regular maintenance such as keeping the air filter clean, ensuring the spark plug is in good condition, and using fresh fuel can help improve fuel efficiency.
Check the cooling fins and air intake for debris and clean them if necessary. Make sure the oil level is adequate and consider replacing old or degraded oil.
