To start the Toro 323 22318 Tool Carrier, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the traction control is in neutral, and the throttle is set to low. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine starts, then release the key.
To check the hydraulic fluid level, park the machine on a level surface and lower the attachments. Ensure the engine is off and cool, then remove the hydraulic tank cap and check the fluid level with the dipstick. Fill as needed using the recommended hydraulic fluid.
If the tool carrier does not move, check the hydraulic fluid level, ensure the parking brake is released, and verify that the traction control lever is in the desired direction. Inspect for any obstructions or damage to hydraulic lines and controls.
Regular maintenance for the engine includes checking and changing the engine oil and oil filter, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the spark plugs, and checking the cooling system. Refer to the user manual for detailed intervals and procedures.
The air filter should be inspected before each use and replaced every 100 hours of operation or sooner if it appears dirty or damaged. Operating in dusty conditions may require more frequent replacements.
If the engine overheats, stop the tool carrier immediately, shut off the engine, and allow it to cool. Check the coolant level and inspect for leaks or obstructions in the cooling system. Ensure the radiator is clean and free of debris.
To adjust the cutting height, park the tool carrier on a level surface, turn off the engine, and disengage the PTO. Use the height adjustment lever or knob on the attachment to set the desired cutting height. Refer to the attachment manual for specific instructions.
The Toro 323 22318 Tool Carrier is compatible with biodiesel blends up to B20 (20% biodiesel, 80% petroleum diesel). Ensure the biodiesel meets ASTM D6751 standards and consult the engine manufacturer’s recommendations.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, ensure all guards and covers are in place, and never operate the tool carrier when tired or under the influence. Be aware of your surroundings, especially when operating in reverse or on slopes.
For off-season storage, clean the tool carrier thoroughly, change the oil and filters, stabilize the fuel, and disconnect the battery. Store the machine in a dry, covered area. Inflate the tires to the recommended pressure and cover any exposed parts to protect against dust and moisture.
