To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel and move them to the desired position. Ensure all four wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
First, check that the fuel tank is full and the fuel is fresh. Next, inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and the battery is charged if applicable.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then after every 50 hours of use or once per season. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. It is recommended to use gasoline with no more than 10% ethanol.
After each use, use a garden hose to spray off grass clippings. Ensure the mower is turned off and unplugged before cleaning. For stubborn buildup, use a plastic scraper.
Before storing, run the engine until it stops to empty the fuel system. Clean the mower, change the oil, and remove the battery if applicable. Store in a dry, sheltered area.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, then tilt the mower to access the blade. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, replace the blade, and tighten the bolt securely.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of use. Clean or replace it if it appears dirty. A clean air filter improves engine performance and fuel efficiency.
Regularly maintain the mower by changing the oil, cleaning the air filter, and keeping the blade sharp. Avoid mowing wet grass and ensure the tire pressure is adequate.
Check for a damaged or imbalanced blade and inspect the engine mounts. Ensure all fasteners are tight. If the issue persists, consult a professional technician.
