To start the Toro 30682 Mower, ensure that the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to the choke position, and the blade control bar is disengaged. Pull the starter handle firmly to start the engine.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level before each use, cleaning the mower deck after mowing, sharpening the blades as needed, and checking the air filter every 25 hours of operation.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired height position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for even cutting.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level and fuel quality, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the air filter, and verify that the safety controls are properly engaged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Always use the oil type recommended in the user manual.
It is not recommended to use the mower on wet grass as it can lead to clogging, uneven cutting, and potential damage to the mower. Wait until the grass is dry for optimal performance.
To clean the mower deck, safely tip the mower on its side, ensuring the air filter and carburetor are facing up. Use a hose to remove grass clippings and debris. Allow the deck to dry before storing.
Sharpen the blades as needed, typically after every 25 hours of use or if you notice uneven cuts or tearing of the grass. Ensure the blades are balanced after sharpening.
To store for winter, run the mower until the fuel tank is empty, remove the spark plug, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Consider using a fuel stabilizer if storing with fuel.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose hardware, or debris lodged in the mower. Inspect the blades and deck, and tighten any loose components.
