To start the Toro 32-inch 30072 Mower, ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Engage the parking brake, move the throttle to the 'fast' position, and turn the ignition key to the 'start' position. Release the key once the engine starts.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level, battery charge, and ensure that the spark plug is clean and connected. Also, make sure the parking brake is engaged and the throttle is set correctly.
You should change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting deck.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
To clean the mower deck, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris. Ensure the deck is dry before storing the mower.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced blades or debris lodged in the deck. Check the blades for damage and balance, and clear any debris from the deck.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire and remove the old plug using a spark plug socket. Install the new plug, ensuring it is properly gapped, and reconnect the wire.
Regularly sharpen the blades and clean the underside of the deck. Ensure the engine is running at full throttle while mowing and adjust the cutting height appropriately for the grass length.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, and inspecting the belts for wear. Follow the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual.
