To start the Toro 30167 mower, ensure that the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to the 'FAST' position, and the blade control is disengaged. Then, turn the key in the ignition to start the engine.
If the mower doesn't start, check if there's fuel in the tank and the battery is charged. Ensure the spark plug is connected properly and check for any blown fuses. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or at least once a season. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil depending on the temperature range.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10% to prevent engine damage.
To adjust the cutting height, move the height adjustment lever on each wheel to the desired setting. Ensure all four wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Regularly inspect the mower blades for damage or dullness. Sharpen or replace the blades as needed. Always disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance on the blades.
After using the mower, allow it to cool, then use a brush or compressed air to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck and engine area. Avoid using water directly to prevent damage to the engine components.
It is not recommended to mow wet grass as it can clog the mower, cause uneven cuts, and potentially damage the lawn. Wait until the grass is dry for optimal results.
Excessive vibration could indicate a problem with the blade balance or damage. Check the blade for bends, cracks, or build-up of debris. If necessary, replace the blade or consult a professional.
To store the mower, clean it thoroughly, drain the fuel tank, and change the oil. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower and store it in a dry, sheltered area to protect it from the elements.
