To start the Toro 30166 mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is in the 'fast' position, and the PTO switch is off. Engage the choke if the engine is cold, then turn the key to the 'start' position until the engine runs.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling. Also, verify that the fuel valve is open and the air filter is clean.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or at the start of each mowing season, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure for the Toro 30166 mower is 13 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires.
Adjust the cutting height by using the lever located near each wheel. Move the lever to the desired height position, ensuring all wheels are set at the same level for an even cut.
Ensure the PTO switch is in the 'on' position. Check the belt for damage and verify that the battery is fully charged. If the issue persists, inspect the PTO clutch and wiring.
Maintain a clean air filter, use fresh gasoline, and ensure the engine is properly tuned. Regularly sharpen the blades and avoid mowing wet grass.
After each use, wash the underside of the mower deck with a garden hose to remove grass clippings and debris. Ensure the engine is off and the spark plug is disconnected before cleaning.
Regularly check and change the oil, inspect and clean the air filter, sharpen or replace blades, check tire pressure, and clean the mower deck. Also, inspect belts and hoses for wear.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
